The devil will burn you

Carry your soul off to hell

The fires and brimstone

Will surround you and burn

Scoring and scorching

The breath we take in

Bringing you suffering, that has no end

Jesus, a refreshing breeze

Cooling and soothing

Gentle sweet soul

He loves and He leads

He guides and He lights

The truth and the way

His is the path to eternal life

The devil he promises

Fulfillment of desires you have

He’ll lie and he’ll cheat

Til he steals your soul

But Jesus is different

For He paid the price

Your sin is forgiven

Your burden is eased

All on the back

Of the holy, sacrificial, lamb
